What is ModWarden?

ModWarden is a free Windows desktop tool that scans any Minecraft mods/ folder and instantly detects broken, incompatible and outdated mods — so you spend less time troubleshooting and more time playing.

No installation required. Just run the .exe, point it at your mods folder and hit Scan.

What it detects

• 🔴 Broken JARs — corrupted files that crash on launch
• 🔴 Wrong loader — Fabric mod inside a Forge pack (and vice versa)
• 🔴 MC version mismatch — mod built for 1.19 in a 1.20.1 pack
• 🟡 Missing dependencies — required mod not present in the folder
• 🟡 Duplicate mods — same mod installed twice

Auto-update

Select any broken mod in the results and click Update Selected Mod — ModWarden searches Modrinth for the latest compatible version, downloads it and replaces the old file automatically.
